Killzone 3 takes off from where Killzone 2 ended and as in all other previous games, this also has brutal-and gore-filled action sequences. Developed by Guerrilla Games for Sony Computer Entertainment, this first person shooter is available on the PlayStation 3 platform. The game is available in 3D also and if you have a hi-definition 3D ready TV and supporting equipment, then you can enjoy the game with special 3D effects.
The game takes up from the time when the hero Sev, the Special Forces operative, has killed Visari, the Helghast dictator. Sev and his buddy Rico are with the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA) that is in a fight with the Helghast Empire. |

With the death of the dictator, the Helghast Empire is witnessing a struggle for power. With the Helghast fleet approaching the ISA airships, Sev and Rico are caught in the cross fight and have to survive heavy missile and cannon fire raining on them.
There are a number of action sequences and fights set in various environments such as a nuclear wasteland, a lethal alien jungle and frozen Arctic landscapes. This adds variety to the game.
The game has three modes - guerrilla warfare, operations and warzone. However, EMP devices can kill the jet packs and nerve gas can be released to block off certain areas in the map. The soldiers are completely fitted out in suits and helmets. A new brutal melee system of fighting is available and ISA can run amok. Also available is a new WASP missile launcher. When playing in multiplayer mode, if you get the maximum kills and points, then your character is featured in the cut scenes. There is also the Medic class that can re-spawn. He also has a helpful bot that follows him around.
On a scale of 10, I would rate this game at 8
for game play and story. The game will cost about ` 2,500.
