Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer takes you back to the age of huge warriors, who with their swords fought off hordes of savages and beasts and won fair damsels in distress. The latest in the Conan franchise, this is the best example of blood-filled fantasy. In short, ‘make heads roll with decapitation’.

The game is set in the wild Eastern region of Khitan that is filled with oriental tyrants, warlords and |
their minions, untold riches and beautiful damsels. This game is an expansion pack for the earlier Hyborian Adventures. There are more than 80 levels at which this game is played and most of the action revolves around quests and combats near the Khitan Gateway. You would fight it out with Kang Zai, demon-like things, huge wild yaks, giants and the Hukranian archers with their long
bows. There are a number of guilds such as the Brittle Blade, the Shadows of Jade and many others. These guilds have weapons and sorcery and the best way to move through them is to slice them up.
The game has breathtaking scenery and the level of detailing on the creatures, various characters and even Conan, is amazing. One would need to have a powerful system with sufficient bit rates to view all the details but it would be worth it. However, the game lacks variety in the creatures, quests and fights and this drags later on. I give a rating of 8.5 for game play, story and graphics. The game costs about ` 1,200 and is worth it.
